The 104,000-square-foot Roger & Peggy Madigan Library showcases an impressive selection of standard and custom furniture from the Brodart Collection. Their forward-thinking appeal, shown through a blend of contemporary and traditional style of furniture, conveys the message that they are an institution specializing in innovative technology programs.
Unique customizations transformed this college library's style to match the school's mission. They achieved this design language by mixing two wood species. While the tradition of mahogany represents the institution of education, the contemporary look of maple stands for the college's state-of-the-art technology program.
We also developed exclusive sketch-face end panels that feature the Penn. College logo in aluminum appliqué. Other specialized pieces include the circulation and reference desks, as well as furnishings for a café, archives and special collections room, Zen garden, 15 group study rooms, computer labs, media facilities, and an art gallery. With the help of our skilled craftsmen, this rapidly expanding institute got modern flare without losing functional, educational purpose.
