Treasure Coast HS Media Center Case Study
treasure coast HS Media CenterPort St. Lucie, FL; Shenkel Shultz Architecture
A media center has to be as stylish as it is technologically advanced. With this in mind, this high school relied on the Epoch Collection--a unique blend of metal and beautiful maple wood. Customizing end panels with a crest and specifying other accents and details, they were able to make this a contemporary and welcoming environment.
The Treasure Coast High School Media Center incorporates a variety of pieces from the Epoch Collection to give the space a contemporary feel. Epoch reading tables are paired with upholstered Parallax chairs. Omega shelving with Epoch end panels, computer tables, and OPAC stations with glass detail are also included. The circulation desk features Epoch’s attractive metal accents on the front panel. Brodart Collection's multimedia display kiosk with slatwall and bulletin board panels was also used. Epoch’s unique blend of metal and beautiful maple wood combined to result in an attractive and functional learning environment. To achieve the desired look and feel for the library, we developed custom stain and powder coated metal finish for the table legs. A modern crypton fabric choice was selected for the upholstered reading chairs.
